Wage: $20.17 – $22.28/hour
Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Full-Time

What You’ll Do

• Prepare food according to recipes, dietary guidelines, and production sheets
• Ensure food meets standards for portion control, temperature, and presentation
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area
• Utilize leftovers effectively by creating marketable dishes
• Complete production and tally sheets accurately
• Report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages promptly
• Follow all safety and food handling policies
• Reduce waste through proper portion control and efficient production
• Collaborate with the culinary team and complete related tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Prior food production experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Basic math skills for portioning and simple calculations
• Knowledge of food safety and special diets
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Experience in healthcare or senior care settings preferred
• Physically able to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in hot or cold environments

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Prior food production experience, preferably in a healthcare facility.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

• Basic math skills for performing simple calculations.

• Working knowledge of special diets and food safety guidelines.

• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a senior care or healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain standing for most of the workday.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 35 pounds.

• Capability to work in environments with extreme temperature variations (hot kitchens or cold storage areas).

• Ability to perform tasks within time constraints.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and alternating holidays.

• Exposure to sharp instruments, power-driven equipment, and caustic chemicals.

• Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and pork products.

• Work environments may include extreme temperatures and varying humidity levels.
