- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items by washing, chopping, slicing, cutting, and mixing vegetables, meats, and other components according to recipes and quality standards.
- Cook food using various methods (grilling, frying, sautéing, broiling, baking, etc.) and present finished dishes attractively according to the Head Chef's instructions and company standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and cooking equipment prior to service periods.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients, prepared products, and finished dishes, ensuring food portions and presentation meet established standards.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling, temperature control, dating, and labeling of all food items.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment, including washing and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils before, during, and after shifts.Assist with monitoring food stock, receiving deliveries, and reporting shortages to the supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient meal execution.
