Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Hospice Care services. We are currently hiring a Cook to join our outstanding culinary team and support our mission of providing exceptional dining experiences for residents.
Wage: $21.00-$23.50/hr. DOE
Schedule: Day Shift 8:30am-5pm 32-40hrs per week (1.0 FTE including every other weekend and holiday)

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare food according to recipes, dietary guidelines, and production sheets.
  • Ensure food meets standards for portion control, temperature, and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.
  • Utilize leftovers effectively by creating marketable dishes.
  • Complete production and tally sheets accurately.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment or food shortages promptly.
  • Follow all safety and food handling policies.
  • Reduce waste through proper portion control and efficient production.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team and complete related tasks as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior food production experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Basic math skills for portioning and simple calculations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and special diets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Experience in healthcare or senior care settings preferred.
  • Physically able to meet job demands, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in hot or cold environments
