Job Title: Coordinator & Reach-out Associate
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to take on a combined role of program coordination and outreach. The Coordinator & Reach-out Associate will serve as the first point of contact for survivors and stakeholders, ensure smooth program operations, and strengthen survivor rehabilitation through outreach, legal advocacy, beneficiary support, and effective coordination with authorities, partners, and team members. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, organizational ability, and a willingness to travel.
Line of Reporting
The Coordinator & Reach-out Associate will report directly to the COO.
Key Responsibilities1. Program Coordination & Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor programs and activities in line with organizational goals.
- Ensure effective implementation of outreach and training center initiatives.
- Maintain records, schedules, budgets, and data in an organized and accessible manner.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to the Program Director.
- Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, events, and awareness campaigns.
- Support and supervise trainers, volunteers, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
2. Outreach & Data Collection:
- Conduct news media searches and monitor social media to identify new cases of acid attacks or related issues.
- Access hospital records and liaise with medical institutions to understand survivors' conditions and needs.
- Establish official communication with police, disability departments, and women & child development authorities.
- Engage with governmental and non-governmental agencies to access resources and support systems.
- Collaborate with media organizations to raise awareness about acid attacks and available survivor support.
3. Beneficiary Support & Documentation
- Connect with survivors through telephonic and in-person outreach, offering emotional support and guidance.
- Document beneficiary records with accuracy for effective case management.
- Facilitate compensation applications and coordinate with welfare teams to secure survivor entitlements.
- Ensure follow-up support through meetings, documentation, and coordination with management.
4. Legal Advocacy & Coordination
- Provide survivors with legal support, including guidance on pending cases and compensation processes.
- Establish effective communication with DLSA, SLSA, NLSA, police, and home departments for survivor-related legal matters.
- Collaborate with external legal professionals and third-party organizations for additional support.
- Guide survivors through the legal system, ensuring their rights and entitlements are protected.
5. Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with the Reach-out Officer, Reach-out Manager, and other team members to achieve rehabilitation and empowerment goals.
- Collaborate with volunteers from media, medical, legal, and advocacy fields for holistic survivor support.
- Serve as a bridge between survivors, organizational leadership, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), MSW (Master of Social Work), or relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social work, legal advocacy, or program coordination.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with trauma survivors.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
- Willingness to travel frequently for outreach and survivor support.
