Key Responsibilities

• Edit book manuscripts and other S&T and HSS content for grammar, punctuation, style, clarity, and accuracy.
• Ensure consistency with relevant style guides (e.g., APA, AMA, Chicago, or client-specific).
• Fact-check technical content to verify accuracy of data, terminology, and references.
• Ensure adherence to client or publisher requirements and house style.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Track and incorporate feedback from quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or related field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Computer Science), Arts, Commerce, Management, Humanities, Social Sciences.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in scientific/technical editing or publishing.
• Proficient in editing tools such as Microsoft Word (Track Changes), Adobe Acrobat, and style checker plugins.
• Exceptional attention to detail and command of the English language.
