Cornea Specialist

Essential Qualification:Specilization in corneal diseases and hands on surgery, with post MD/MS at least 3 years of experience as senior resident/Fellowship from an eye institute / centre of repute.

Roles and Responsibilities Cornea Specialist.

1. Clinical Care:

  • Diagnose and manage corneal diseases, infections, injuries, and degenerations.
  • Perform corneal surgeries including keratoplasty, pterygium excision, and lamellar procedures.
  • Evaluate and manage patients with refractive errors and dry eye syndrome.
  • Post-operative care and follow-up management.

2. Surgical Expertise:

  • Carry out corneal transplant surgeries (DALK, DSEK, PK, etc.).

3. Consultation & Collaboration:

  • Provide opinion for referred cases from general ophthalmologists.
  • Collaborate with other subspecialties for comprehensive eye care.

4. Emergency Services (On-Call):

  • Attend to urgent corneal trauma or infections as per on-call schedule.

5. Training & Education (if required):

  • Train residents/fellows or junior doctors in cornea-related skills.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate medical records and surgical notes.
  • Contribute to clinical audits and case presentations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
