Position Summary
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation (MMCF) raises and stewards philanthropic support for Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC) and Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital (MCWH). Responsible for increasing support from corporations and growing overall sponsorship of events and other activity. Works closely with events colleagues and development officers in building corporate relationships and sponsorship. Engages corporate officials, builds lasting and strategic partnerships, and delivers exceptional services and results.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Supports the mission, vision and values of LBMC, MCWH and MMCF and actively works to enhance the reputation of LBMC and MMCF
Manages all aspects of the corporate partnerships program by identifying, cultivating, and building new corporate partner, and managing and growing existing corporate partnerships with the goal of increasing support and sponsorship
In partnership and coordination with development officers, actively identifies and supports the cultivation of potential individual major gift donors who may be owners of executives of corporate partners and supports the major gifts process in general as helpful.
Creates and executes an annual plan for corporate relations with clear KPIs, revenue goals and engagement strategies.
Manages, in partnership with events colleagues, all aspects of the events and corporate sponsorship programs, including marketing materials such as sponsorship decks and packages that reflect the MemorialCare brand and mission, and ensuring sponsor recognition and benefit fulfillment is delivered equitably and efficiently across all levels of support.
Diligently maintains organized record of outreach, engagement, and cultivation activities using a moves management framework, tracking donor pipeline activity, sponsorship ROI, and fulfillment of benefit using the donor database CRM which is Blackbaud NXT.
In partnership with events colleagues, helps coordinate hospital tours and/or onsite events for key corporate partners and prospects designed to deepen corporate engagement and showcase impact.
Alongside Foundation and Hospital leadership, represents MemorialCare at civic, business, and community events to elevate visibility and expand community connections.
Supports the Donor Engagement team in executing signature Foundation events and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure exceptional donor experiences.
Supports the development of a comprehensive strategic plan for donor engagement programs clearly detailing the goals, objectives, schedules and budgets consistent with the vision and mission of MMCF
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years B2B sales, account management, corporate partnerships, or business development experience preferred.
Fundraising or nonprofit experience preferred.
Proven track record of building relationships, presenting proposals, and closing partnerships or sponsorship deals preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred.
Familiarity with CRM or donor database platforms such as NXT/Raiser Edge or Salesforce preferred.
Deep knowledge of the Long Beach and greater LA/OC business community is a strong advantage preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required
