Corporate Attorney (Technology Transactions & Alliances)
Randstad, in partnership with our client, a leading SaaS Technology company in the AI Data Cloud space, is looking for a resourceful and pragmatic problem solver to join their world-class legal team.
This role is a contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to support rapid growth and scale within an innovative environment.
đ Location, Schedule & Job details:
Location: Hybrid, based in Dublin, CA with the potential to work part of the week in Menlo Park, CA. Schedule: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hourly rate starting at $112-$150/hr DOE.
đ Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel Technology Transactions and Alliances, you will be an essential contributor responsible for high-impact legal work.
Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements.
Support programs, products, and initiatives that further strategic company objectives.
Structure, negotiate, and close complex technology transactions, working closely with Business Development, Alliances, Sales, and Strategic Sourcing teams.
Manage partnership, reseller, go-to-market, or cloud infrastructure programs.
Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams (including legal, finance, tax, product, engineering, security, and compliance) to appropriately manage risk and build processes to foster compliance.
Provide sound, practical advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to internal stakeholders.
â Requirements
The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation and possess the following qualifications:
Experience: At least 5-7 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney.
This experience must include time at a top law firm and in-house experience with SaaS or similar technology companies.
Expertise: Strong background in SaaS-centric issues (e.g., data, privacy, security, and intellectual property).
Education: JD from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar, with the ability to practice in California.
Skills:
Demonstrated business judgment.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills to work with all levels across the company.
Experience working under your own initiative and managing multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to think creatively and be solution-oriented and to press forward in ambiguous situations.
Willingness and capacity to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary.
Must possess an attitude that no project is too big or too small.
