Overview
The In-House Corporate Legal Counsel provides legal advice and support to the organization’s executive and management teams. This position is responsible for reviewing, drafting, and managing company contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, advising on employment law matters, and providing support in arbitration and dispute resolution. The Counsel acts as a liaison with outside counsel and ensures that company practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
· Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor, supplier, and client contracts.
· Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, procedures, and policies to ensure document and contract compliance.
· Monitor business operations and documents to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
· Advise the executive team on employment law matters, including employee relations, policy interpretation, terminations, and compliance with labor regulations.
· Provide legal guidance and risk assessment on business activities, ensuring decisions align with company policies and legal standards.
· Support arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution processes by preparing documentation, coordinating with outside counsel, and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
· Maintain company legal records, agreements, and filings in an organized and accessible manner.
· Coordinate and communicate with external legal counsel and regulatory agencies as necessary.
· Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives, including policy development and training.
· Conduct legal research and prepare written summaries or recommendations for internal stakeholders.
· Complete any other tasks as assigned by management.
Required Education/Experience
· Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
· Active license to practice law in the United States (Texas preferred).
· Minimum of 7–10 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on contract law, compliance, and employment law.
· In-house legal experience within a manufacturing or industrial organization preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment for the position includes enclosed offices.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of the position include sitting at a desk for extended periods of time; ability to speak and hear speech and other sounds; ability to enter text or data via keyboard into a computer.
