Salary Range: $37,377 - $65,408

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Lieutenant I, this position will provide supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a Medium Custody State Corrections Facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.
• Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms.
• Accounting for persons and ensuring that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.
• Rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work.

• Knowledge of Facility Operations.
• Knowledge of Prisons’ Policy and Procedures.
  
  

Necessary Special Qualifications

MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Based upon these factors, a pay increase MAY result.
