Cost Accountant

A leading company operating in the Food & Beverage sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, managing a chain of restaurants and food production lines, is seeking to recruit a Cost Accountant to oversee and strengthen the cost control function, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic financial decision-making within a fast-growing, multi-branch environment.

Role Objective:

To lead and manage all cost accounting activities, ensure accurate product and production costing, control waste and operational variances, and provide financial analysis that supports profitability improvement and expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze product costing, recipe costing (Food Cost), and production line costs.
• Monitor cost variances and waste percentages, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic cost and profitability reports for senior management.
• Oversee inventory control processes, stock valuation, and periodic physical counts.
• Analyze branch performance from a cost and margin perspective.
• Support pricing decisions through accurate cost and margin analysis.
• Collaborate with Operations and Procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.
• Develop and enhance internal cost control systems and procedures.
• Ensure effective utilization and integration of ERP systems related to costing and inventory management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (mandatory).
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Cost Accounting, preferably within the restaurant or food manufacturing sector.
• Experience in multi-branch or centralized kitchen environments.
• Strong knowledge of Food Cost Control and inventory management systems.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
