Job Overview

Poltek Metal LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role is ideal for a finance professional with expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting, particularly in supporting operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing costs, monitoring expenditures, preparing reports, and supporting management in optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production, operational, and overhead costs to support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Monitor inventory costs, cost allocations, and expense controls.
• Review financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Support pricing analysis and profitability assessments.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and assist with financial forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.
• Assist with audits, reconciliations, and period-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve cost management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication abilities.
• Professional certifications are a plus.
