Job Purpose:
The jobholder will analyze and monitor financial data related to food production, inventory, and operational expenses to ensure cost efficiency and profitability. This role involves conducting variance analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing actionable insights. Additionally, the Cost Analyst supports decision-making by delivering accurate recipe/menu costs, trend analyses, and reports to align operations with financial goals.
Key Result Areas:
Manage the day-to-day data analysis for cost and manufacturing within various EKFC business, working with Production, Commercial and Supply Chain to drive efficiencies in production and procurement.
Develop and analyse cost standards tracking system, wastage analysis and major cost drivers to monitor and highlight trends for the stakeholders.
Support Costing Manager through proactive reporting analysis of variances/trends, communication of issues and opportunities that can be communicated to various stakeholders for action to be taken to maximise revenue/profit.
Collect, analyse, and evaluate historical data to provide a basis for assumptions, methodologies, estimate results, applying sound reasoning and appropriate judgment in coming up of a recommendation to support the section and the business.
Manage the updating and maintaining the costing database in the relevant ERP, also train and oversee the setting-up of ERP cost system based on company policies and procedures.
Analyse changes in products/menus design, raw materials or production methods to determine effects on cost.
Perform Cost Benchmarking analysis to support decision making on insourcing or outsourcing of the product(s) to maximise profitability for the company.
Responsible for the set-up, monitoring and reconciliation of Landed Cost rulings for any Food & Packing Foreign related Purchases in order tonsure appropriate allocation of costs.
Collaborates with Costing Manager on the development/design of the costing methodology, cost standards, and KPI reporting.Perform adhoc tasks as assigned.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor*s degree in accounting or commerce or equivalent
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years* experience in Finance area, preferably background in production and/or manufacturing accounting.
With a minimum of 2 years in a similar capacity.
Background in performing analytical tasks and corresponding report preparation.
Advanced Excel functionality and other MS Office proficiency applications.
Advanced user of JDE ERP platform, or familiarity with any ERP system.
Process improvements experience.
