We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Cost Control Officer to join our Cairo back-office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, supporting commercial functions, and managing client invoicing processes. The role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and familiarity with Facilities Management (FM) or maintenance project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and control project costs against budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project financial reports and cost analysis.
- Coordinate with project and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients.
- Support in reviewing contracts, variations, and commercial documentation.
- Verify subcontractor and supplier invoices to ensure compliance with project budgets.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and financial reviews.
- Highlight any cost deviations and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Liaise with stakeholders to support commercial negotiations and financial planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cost control, commercial support, or invoicing—preferably within FM or maintenance projects.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles.
- Familiarity with client invoice preparation and submission processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
