Cost Control Engineer

A Cost Control Engineer / Quantity Surveyor is a construction industry professional responsible for managing project costs and ensuring budgets are adhered to. Here are their key responsibilities:

1. Budget Preparation and Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, collaborate with estimators and project managers, and review cost estimates.

2. Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Track expenditures, prepare cost reports, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Cost Analysis: Analyze cost trends, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and evaluate financial impacts of project changes.

4. Valuations and Payments: Prepare valuations and progress payments, to follow and get the certification for completed work from the client, and ensure payments align with contract terms.

5. Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities, recommend alternative solutions, and work with the design team.

6. Financial Documentation: Maintain accurate financial records and prepare documentation for audits.

7. Project Planning and Scheduling: Integrate cost control processes into project schedules.

8. Risk Management: Identify financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their effectiveness.

9. Communication: Communicate cost status and issues to the project team and provide training.

10. Continuous Improvement: Improve cost control processes and stay updated with industry standards.

11. Software and Tools Management: Use cost management software, ensure data accuracy, and train team members.

12. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with policies and standards, and participate in quality assurance activities.

13. Final Accounts and Closeout: Prepare and agree on final accounts and handle post-completion reviews.

14. Dispute Resolution: Address financial disputes and provide expert advice for settlements and legal proceedings.

15. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and present financial updates.

Experience: GCC 3-5yrs

Must have a UAE Driving License

Qualification: Bachelors degree in CIVIL/MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL Engineering.
