Cost Control Engineer

Cairo, Egypt

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor, forecast, and report project costs to ensure completion within budget.
  • Proactively monitor and manage cost variances and contract cash flow.
  • Collaborate with clients and consultants to oversee project delivery, including program performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Manage contract changes effectively while ensuring adherence to governance and best practices.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide support on all aspects of cost management to the project team as required.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of cost management procedures and systems.
  • Maintain and update logs of approved/disapproved project budget changes.
  • Run and analyze earned value reports to track project performance.
  • Monitor and report project-level cost trends to support decision-making and ensure financial control.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Mechanical.
  • Contractor background, preferably in the Industrial field (Power Generation, Substation, Oil & Gas, Water treatment plants, Factories, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Cost Control/Project Controls.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles, contract management, and financial planning.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
