Job Purpose
The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project costs throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures accurate tracking of expenditures, forecasts, and cost-to-complete calculations, supporting management in decision-making and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and track project costs including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.

Prepare and update cost reports, including Cost to Complete (CTC), budget vs. actual, and variance analysis.

Review and validate invoices, contracts, and procurement data in coordination with the Accounting Department.

Identify cost-related risks and deviations; provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Maintain cost databases and ensure accurate data entry for management reporting.

Support project planning by providing cost inputs to project schedules and forecasts.

Prepare periodic reports such as monthly cost summaries, productivity reports, and wastage analysis.

Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Accounting) and external stakeholders (subcontractors, suppliers) to ensure financial control.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, and project finance within construction or infrastructure projects.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management tools.

Strong Excel and MS Office skills for cost tracking and reporting.

Knowledge of cost control procedures, budgeting, and forecasting.
