Cost Control Engineer -Civil

Job Title: Cost Control Engineer (High-Rise Building Projects)

Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience Required: 2–4 years (UAE experience mandatory)

Job Summary:

The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget. The role involves tracking expenses, preparing cost reports, and supporting project teams in cost planning and financial performance for high-rise building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports, cost variance analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Track project progress and expenditures against budgeted costs.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Review subcontractor payments, invoices, and variations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams for cost-related matters.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all cost-related records and reports.
  • Support in preparing monthly financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in claims, variations, and change order evaluations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in cost control within building construction projects in the UAE.
  • Experience in high-rise building construction is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control processes, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with contract conditions (FIDIC knowledge is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and cost control software (e.g., Primavera, ERP systems).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
