Role:
To have technical and reporting knowledge about all cost/income, invoice/manifesto items' control and registration made abroad, and internal reporting procedures within the company.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the pre-controls (import & export) of the relevant vessels on the amounts specified as company manifest income items before the vessel departure,
In the event of a lump-sum tariff, these checks shall be notified to the relevant units of tariff differentials determined,
Development and presentation of the error detail report to top management, which is generated according to the preliminary checks made within the month,
Preparation of the monthly freight report and submission to the concerned unit,
Apply group rules, processes, and working procedures issued from General Ledger procedures,
Realize accurate and reliable bookings in the accounting system (Debit / Credit Note, Invoicing ),
Making proactive analyses towards revenue increase and cost reduction,
Elaborate cost & revenue analysis,
Provides support to general accounting procedures,
Cost Control and Purchase Invoice accounting performance management,
Supervising RFIs opened by Cost and Revenue, working in harmony with GBS and SSC teams,
Creating Reports about periodic/Requested shipping stats, Incoming or outgoing invoicing, and Invoice Delivery,
Updating the data of control and auxiliary micro and macro files daily,
Checking the accuracy of intermodal cost invoices and uploading and accounting,
In irregular situations, the supervising manual invoices process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Administration or Finance, or a related field,
Knowledge of general accounting,
Knowledge in MS Office Applications (especially in Excel),
Analytical thinking, numeric ability to add value to existing processes,
2-3 years of experience at a similar position,
Maritime transportation experience is a plus,
High sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure,
Fluency in written & verbal English is a must (part of the interview will take place in English),
Able to work in the office 4 days per week (hybrid) in Istanbul.
