Role Overview

Scaleup Connect is hiring a Cost Controller on behalf of its client for a hospitality establishment located in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring operational expenses, particularly food and beverage costs, to ensure cost efficiency and profitability. The role involves managing inventory, auditing procurement activities, and providing detailed cost analysis to support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Monitoring

  • Track daily food and beverage costs and compare actual expenditures against budgeted figures.
  • Identify cost variances and highlight areas requiring corrective action.

Waste Control

  • Implement strategies to minimize wastage, theft, and over-portioning.
  • Monitor kitchen spoilage and ensure proper handling of ingredients.

Inventory & Auditing

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
  • Ensure proper storage practices, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation.

Procurement Management

  • Review purchase orders and supplier invoices for accuracy.
  • Compare supplier pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.

Cost Analysis

  • Calculate cost per dish and maintain accurate recipe costing records.
  • Ensure standard portion sizes are followed to maintain consistency and control costs.

Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
  • Analyze cost variances and present findings to management.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with kitchen, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain proper documentation for financial reviews and audits.

Tools / Software

  • Inventory & Financial Tracking Systems: For monitoring stock levels, recipe costing, and invoice management.
  • Reporting Systems: Tools used for generating cost reports and variance analysis.

Education

  • Graduation in Commerce or a related discipline

Experience

  • Experience: 1–2 years
  • Preferred Industry Background: Restaurant / Hospitality

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: PKR 50,000 – 60,000
