We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical “Cost Controller” to oversee kitchen cost management and ensure accuracy in recipes and bill of materials (BOMs). The ideal candidate will play a key role in controlling food costs, maintaining standardization and improving operational efficiency.
Qualification:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost control, preferably in the food or retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, standardize, and validate recipes and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in coordination with culinary and production teams.
* Ensure accuracy of ingredient quantities, yields, and costing in all recipes and menu items.
* Conduct periodic kitchen audits to assess food cost, wastage, and adherence to portion control standards.
* Monitor and enforce portion control mechanisms to ensure consistency and cost efficiency.
* Analyze cost variances between theoretical and actual consumption, highlighting discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
* Track daily, weekly, and monthly food cost trends and prepare detailed variance and performance reports.
* Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing without compromising quality.
Implement and maintain cost control policies, SOPs, and internal checks across kitchen operations.
* Support menu engineering initiatives by providing cost analysis and profitability insights.
* Identify opportunities for cost optimization, waste reduction, and process improvements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month
