EDECS Is Growing — and We’re Hiring a Cost Estimation Manager!

As EDECS continues its rapid expansion across Egypt, the Gulf (KSA, UAE, Oman), and Africa, we are looking for a highly experienced Cost Estimation Manager to lead our estimation function and drive excellence across mega and large-scale projects.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate, competitive, and high-quality commercial submissions aligned with company standards and project objectives.


Position Overview

The Cost Estimation Manager leads the cost estimation section, setting standards, resolving complex challenges, and ensuring full alignment with tender requirements and departmental KPIs.

You will oversee the preparation of priced BOQs, RFQ packages, comparison sheets, and final commercial proposals, ensuring that pricing strategies, cost bases, and exclusions are clearly defined and professionally documented.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep technical expertise in construction cost estimation.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Tender Planning

  • Define the overall outline, framework, and key priorities for each new tender to ensure a structured and aligned estimation approach.
  • Analyze project requirements and establish clear estimation strategies aligned with company objectives.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage the cost estimation team, allocating resources and setting clear priorities.
  • Provide technical direction and hands-on support to team leaders and senior engineers.
  • Mentor team members to strengthen both technical and managerial capabilities.

Estimation Governance & Quality Control

  • Review and validate estimation outputs to ensure compliance with tender documents and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure consistency in WBS development, cost breakdown structures, and estimation methodologies.
  • Oversee the preparation and finalization of commercial proposals, including assumptions and exclusions.

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pricing accuracy and turnaround time.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarking systems, and estimation tools.
  • Standardize processes to ensure efficiency and consistency across submissions.

Stakeholder Alignment

  • Coordinate with senior management and project teams to align estimation strategies and departmental objectives.
  • Support decision-making by providing reliable cost insights and risk assessments.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Construction Engineering .

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of total experience .
  • At least 7 years in cost estimation , preferably within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel & Data Analysis required).
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory).
  • Revit knowledge is preferred.


Certifications

  • AutoCAD certification (required).
  • Advanced Excel & Data Analysis certification (required).
  • FIDIC Advanced Contract Management (preferred).
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is preferred.
