Cost Estimation Manager

Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Reports To: SCM Director

Role Summary

The Cost Estimation Section Manager leads the cost estimation function within the SCM department, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for events, exhibitions, and conference projects. The role supports proposal development, budgeting, and cost control while coordinating with procurement, operations, and project teams to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets for events and projects.
  • Support tenders, proposals, and pricing strategies with accurate cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Monitor estimated vs. actual project costs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain cost databases, estimation templates, and procedures.
  • Lead and supervise the Cost Estimation team.
  • Provide cost reports and insights to the SCM Director.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in cost estimation, procurement, or project costing.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in events, exhibitions, or project-based environments is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong cost estimation and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and estimation tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
