About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Design & Estimation Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Design & Estimation team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of project designs, cost estimates, and proposals. This role requires close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality design solutions and competitive cost estimates that align with project objectives, timelines, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor the design and estimation team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
- Allocate tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
- Oversee preparation and review of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Develop detailed project cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other departments.
- Act as the main point of contact for design and estimation-related client queries.
- Attend client meetings to gather requirements and present design and estimation proposals.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance of all design and estimation deliverables.
- Maintain proper documentation, reports, and records for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and market prices.
- Introduce innovative and sustainable solutions where applicable.
- Ensure that QHSE (Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures are effectively implemented on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Relevant discipline).
- Proven experience in design and estimation management within engineering or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in design and estimation tools/software.
- AUTOCAD experience is mandatory. REVIT/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in design of fire protection systems.
