Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cost Estimator & Procurement Specialist with strong experience in the events industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing blueprints and project drawings, preparing accurate material cost estimates, determining logistical requirements (e.g., trips and transport), and handling procurement of all event-related materials.

The role requires excellent market knowledge, including pricing of flags, branding materials, furniture, staging, and other event essentials. You will also be expected to maintain clear and organized records of estimates, procurement activities, and vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze blueprints, drawings, and project documents.
• Estimate material requirements and calculate costs accurately.
• Determine logistics requirements, including number of trips and transportation needs.
• Conduct procurement of all required items, ensuring best price and quality.
• Stay updated with current market prices for event materials (flags, signage, branding, staging, etc.).
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Maintain proper records of all estimates, procurement, and vendor communications.
• Coordinate closely with the project and operations team to align costs with project requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cost estimator, preferably within the events sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of market prices for event-related materials.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and estimation tools/software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
