Job Description:
Psychologist Consultant in OHC During Layoffs
1. Psychological First Aid & Crisis Counseling
- Provide immediate emotional support to employees facing layoff-related stress, anxiety, or panic.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for impacted employees.
- Offer coping strategies for shock, grief, denial, and acceptance stages.
- Address feelings of loss of identity, fear, and uncertainty.
2. Support for Retained Employees (Survivor Syndrome)
- Provide counseling to retained staff dealing with:
- Guilt over colleagues being laid off (“survivor’s guilt”)
- Anxiety about job security
- Distrust toward management
- Loss of team morale and productivity
- Help maintain mental stability and motivation in the post-layoff work culture.
3. Outplacement and Transition Support
- Offer career counseling or support in job transition.
- Help laid-off employees build psychological readiness for:
- Job interviews
- New roles
- Resume building (in coordination with HR/career services)
- Promote resilience training and stress management workshops.
4. Organizational Support & Policy Input
- Advise HR and management on the psychological impact of layoff decisions.
- Participate in developing compassionate communication strategies during the layoff process.
- Help design post-layoff engagement strategies for remaining employees.
- Suggest employee assistance program (EAP) enhancements.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
