Position Information:
The County of Monterey Administrative Office is recruiting for a County Media Analyst to join the communications team. Under general direction, the incumbent will perform a variety of professional-level communications, crisis management, and media relations. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and preparing communication campaigns, initiatives, and activities for diverse individuals, including indigenous groups. The successful candidate will support County CAO and Board of Supervisors communications, as well as general public relations services, public relations campaign design and implementation.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communications and marketing skills, especially with traditional and social media marketing, with the ability to design and communicate effectively and accurately.

Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in public affairs, media relations, or related area which involved translation of various types of materials and information. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable and may be required of some positions.
