Crane Operator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and certified Crane Operator to safely operate various types of cranes for lifting and moving heavy materials, equipment, and structures on construction sites, shipyards, or marine projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mobile cranes (truck-mounted, crawler), tower cranes, or overhead cranes as required
• Perform pre-operational inspections including cables, hooks, brakes, hydraulics, and load charts
• Lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and prefabricated structures according to lift plans
• Interpret hand signals, radio communications, and lift plans to execute safe lifts
• Calculate load weights and ensure crane capacity is not exceeded
• Position crane outriggers and ensure stable ground conditions before lifting
• Coordinate with riggers, signalmen, and site supervisors during lifting operations
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of crane; report any mechanical issues
• Maintain daily operator logs, lift records, and inspection reports
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company lifting procedures
• Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments before each lift
• Secure crane after use and follow lockout/tagout procedures when required
• Assist in assembling and disassembling crane components as needed
