Creative Intern

Job Summary

This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills, contribute to exciting projects, and gain hands-on experience. We are looking for a third to fifth year college student or recent graduate-graduate students welcome-who loves visual design, has solid InDesign and Photoshop chops (and a portfolio to prove it).

This position is approximately 16 hours per week for 6 months, 4/4-hour days preferred. On-site.

At the WAC, we produce a quarterly magazine and run a busy array of social media, email, and other digital and print campaigns. We’re a small creative team that does a lot with a little and has fun along the way. This is a great chance to get a lot of experience very quickly!

Duties

Creative Production

• Draft and refine layouts for print and digital assets, ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
• Edit, crop, and process photos for use in marketing campaigns, publications, and social media

Writing & Content Development

• Write concise, engaging copy for ads, posters, social media campaigns, email communications, and the club magazine.
• Support the development of creative concepts and messaging for marketing initiatives.
• Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice.

Research & Archival Work

• Conduct archival research to support storytelling, historical features, and brand‑heritage projects.
• Organize and maintain digital and physical archives, including photos, documents, and creative assets.
• Gather background information to support campaign development and editorial planning.

Administrative & Project Support

• Assist with scheduling, file organization, and project tracking for the marketing team.
• Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and creative reviews.
• Support day‑to‑day operations of the marketing department as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Adobe Creative Suite: Strong proficiency in InDesign (layout or typography) and Photoshop (photo editing, sizing, and processing).
• Photography skills preferred but not necessary.
