Crew Leader, Landscape

Job Summary

Crew Cuts, LLC is seeking an experienced, motivated Hardscape Crew Leader to oversee residential and commercial landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience building retaining walls, installing paver patios and walkways, laying sod, installing mulch and pine straw, planting trees and shrubs, and performing irrigation installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a hardscape crew on daily job sites
• Build segmental block and natural stone retaining walls.
• Install paver patios, walkways, driveways, fire pits
• Perform site grading, excavation, and base preparation.
• Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, adjusting watering schedules—to promote healthy landscapes.
• Oversee the operation of company vehicles for transportation to job sites while adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during outdoor work activities.
• Communicate clearly with clients and team members to deliver exceptional service and address any project concerns promptly.
• Assist in training new crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Support the planning and execution of construction projects related to landscaping enhancements or installations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in landscape, Hardscape, gardening or outdoor groundskeeping with a focus on horticulture.
• Demonstrated supervising or crew management experience in outdoor settings.
• Strong knowledge of plant identification, landscape design principles, hardscape features, and irrigation systems.
• Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently; experience with grounds equipment operation is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; clean driving record preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of <PERSON> standards related to landscaping or grounds management is a plus.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients alike.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
