Crew Leader, Mowing

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Crew Leader, Mowing, where you will lead and motivate a crew responsible for maintaining beautiful landscapes through mowing, trimming, and general lawn care. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of landscape maintenance technicians focused on mowing, edging, trimming, and general lawn care activities.
• Plan daily work schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards of landscape appearance and client satisfaction.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, operated safely, and used in accordance with company policies.
• Train crew members on proper landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and equipment handling to promote a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate work plans and address any issues promptly.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations during all landscaping activities.
• Assist in the installation of new landscaping features such as irrigation systems or garden beds when needed.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety inspections for accountability and reporting purposes.
• Support additional landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, or light construction projects as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or related fields with a focus on mowing and general gardening practices.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in outdoor or construction environments.
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques including turf management, trimming, edging, and garden maintenance.
• Familiarity with construction or tree care is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, horticulture principles, and garden management.
• Excellent communication skills to lead a team effectively and coordinate with clients or project managers.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
