We are seeking an experienced and versatile Criminal Defense and Family Law Attorney to join our team. This role is not limited to one practice area . The successful candidate will handle both criminal defense and family law cases with equal dedication, professionalism, and skill. The ideal candidate is a motivated, client-focused attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocating for clients in and out of the courtroom.
All candidates must be licensed to practice law in Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional legal representation in both family law and criminal defense matters.
- Effectively and independently manage pre-decree and post-decree domestic relations cases, including dissolution of marriage and allocation of parental responsibility matters.
- Represent clients in criminal defense cases ranging from misdemeanors to more complex charges, including plea negotiations, hearings, and trials.
- Perform thorough discovery and advanced legal research, prepare and review complex court documents, and participate in various legal proceedings.
- Conduct case assessments, develop legal strategies, and manage all phases of litigation.
- Effectively delegate tasks to a skilled paralegal and utilize third-party experts when appropriate.
- Create and implement strategic plans to achieve client objectives, and clearly communicate these plans to clients.
- Independently handle cases from intake to resolution, ensuring top-quality representation.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout their case.
- Organize, plan, and schedule cases on a priority basis while tracking and entering all billable hours.
- Resolve and troubleshoot complex legal issues.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver comprehensive client support and uphold the firm’s standards of excellence.
Qualifications
- Active Bar License (Required) – must be licensed to practice law in Colorado.
- A minimum of two years of successful experience helping clients with family law/ Family Law matters in Colorado.
- Experience with complex family law matters, particularly those involving business interests, executive compensation, and intricate financial issues.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 15–25 active domestic relations cases while tracking all billable hours.
- Proficient in legal research, word processing, and document databases.
- Spanish-speaking preferred but not mandatory. / Se prefiere que hable español, pero no es obligatorio.
- Some work can be accomplished remotely.

- Pay: Up to $150,000.00 per year (based on experience).
