BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent: some college coursework or equivalent field specific experience preferred.
2. Knowledge of legal terminology.
3. Computer literacy with excellent data entry skills.
4. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure conditions to meet deadlines, with minimal supervision.
5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with individuals of all socio-economic backgrounds, both in person and by phone.
7. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a strong attendance record.
8. Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
1. Serves as court clerk in misdemeanor court.
2. File misdemeanor cases and all related documents.
3. Issue court documents, such as warrants, subpoenas, commitments.
4. Enter court dispositions into operating system: scan and verify documents filed and issued.
5. Prepare transcripts for submission to the Court of Appeals.
6. Provide professional assistance to the public in person and by telephone.
7. File reports with the State.
8. Scan and maintain official records.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including possible overtime.
Pay: $33,953.00 per year
