The Special Investigations Division is comprised of and responsible for the following sections/units/programs:
Two years of experience in law enforcement, investigatory work or military intelligence work; OR
Twelve hours in law enforcement or a criminal justice field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
Willingness and ability to attain a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.
An applicant will be disqualified if he or she has been convicted of a felony or if there are any indictments or bills of information pending against him or her in which felony charges are included; or if he or she has been convicted within the past three years of hit and run or driving while intoxicated.

Investigates violations of Louisiana law, gathering evidence and documenting all activities associated with each investigation.
Conducts interviews and interrogations of witnesses, victims, and suspects in accordance with legal protocols and investigative best practices.
This vacancy is located in the Insurance Fraud/Auto Theft Unit in the Department of Public Safety and Corrections/Office of State Police, located in Ouachita Parish
