Crusher Operator cum Electrician
Location: Fujairah, U.A.E.
Reporting to: Maintenance & Production Manager

Job Purpose:

To operate and monitor crusher plant equipment for efficient production of aggregates, while performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery, motors, and control systems to ensure continuous, safe, and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:A. Crusher Operation

• Operate and control the crusher plant and associated machinery (jaw crusher, cone crusher, screen, conveyor, etc.) in accordance with production requirements.
• Monitor plant parameters (feed rate, power load, product size, etc.) to maintain optimum performance and output.
• Ensure continuous feed and smooth operation, avoiding blockages, overloads, and breakdowns.
• Conduct daily inspection and routine maintenance checks (oil level, belts, bearings, lubrication, etc.).
• Record and report any operational problems or abnormalities to the Supervisor.
• Assist in changing screen meshes, liners, hammers, and other wear parts when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in and around the crusher area.

B. Electrical Maintenance

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including motors, starters, panels, switches, wiring, and control systems.
• Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, motor starters, relays, and automation controls using appropriate testing tools.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform installation and connection of motors, lighting, and electrical systems for plant and offices.
• Ensure safe isolation and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before maintenance work.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, electrical consumption, and parts used.
• Support emergency repairs during breakdowns, both day and night shifts as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as Crusher Operator and/or Electrician in a quarry, crusher, or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of crusher plant operation (jaw/cone/screening systems) and electrical systems (motors, control panels, MCCs).
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with VFDs, soft starters, and PLC-controlled systems is an advantage.
• Good understanding of safety practices related to both electrical and mechanical work.
• Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor industrial environments and shifts.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based position in Fujairah crusher plant.
• Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions.
• Rotational or shift-based work (day/night).
• May require overtime or emergency call attendance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

• Fujairah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Crusher Operator and/or Electrician in a quarry: 5 years (Required)
• crusher plant operation (jaw/cone/screening): 5 years (Required)
• VFDs, soft starters, and PLC-controlled systems: 5 years (Preferred)
