CT Scan Technician

Job Description:

 Perform CT scan procedures as per physician’s orders and established protocols

 Prepare and position patients correctly for CT imaging

 Explain procedures clearly to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation

 Operate CT scan machines safely and efficiently

 Administer contrast media when required, following safety guidelines

 Ensure radiation safety and follow ALARA principles

 Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions

 Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of CT equipment

 Report equipment malfunctions to the concerned department

 Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data

 Follow hospital policies, SOPs, and infection control guidelines

 Assist radiologists in special CT procedures when required

Qualification & Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology / Medical Imaging

Valid registration/license (as per regulatory authority)

CT Scan certification preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist
• Experience in a hospital or diagnostic center preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques
• Understanding of radiation safety standards
• Good communication and patient-handling skills
• Ability to work in rotational shifts
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Team-oriented and professional attitude
