We are in look-out for prospective job aspirants with relevant experience and skill sets for our medical institute located in Bengaluru Rural, details of which are bulleted below for your ready and further consideration:

Job Position : CT/ MRI TECHNICIAN

Location : Bengaluru Rural (Hoskote).

Qualification :

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology

· DMRIT / DMRT

· B.Sc. Medical Imaging Technology / Radiology Technology

Compensation : Commensurate with qualification and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. To mainly operate MRI machine.

2. May be required to work on CT scanner and other radiology equipments.

3. To ensure availability of a proper written requisition of a doctor before starting the

test.

4. To ensure that proper billing has been done.

5. To take consent of the patient.

6. To ensure that the patient, if female is not pregnant. In case of doubt consult the

radiologist.

7. To ensure that nobody enters the area with a metal object on his/her body.

8. To remove all metal objects from the body of the patient.

9. To help the patient in changing from street dress to hospital dress without affecting

patient dignity and privacy.

10. To ensure proper positioning of the patient on the examination table.

11. To take brief history of the patient.

12. To position the patient on the table.

13. To enter patient data in the MRI computer (Console).

14. To continuously observe patient through glass window throughout the procedure.

15. To maintain patient comfort and safety during transportation in and out of the

department and during the examination.

16. To select and modify technical parameters and sequences in the machine to obtain

best possible images.

17. To follow established protocols.

18. Keep monitoring the quality of the pictures.

19. Should not hesitate to talk to referring consultant in case of any doubt.

20. To perform MR Angiograms as per doctor's requisition.

21. To administer contrast media via IV line when needed.

22. To provide headphones or earplugs to patients. To demonstrate proper use and

purpose of headphones.

23. To assist anesthetist if the procedure is to be done under sedation of any kind.

24. To ensure that reporting of scans is done on time. Reports dispatched to required

destination as per hospital policy. are

25. To keep backup copies of all scans and reports as per hospital policy.

26. To maintain log registers of the work done.

27. To maintain and calibrate the MRI machine, console or other hardware.

28. To ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance of the machine.

29. To comply with all legal and hospital policy and procedures.

30. To ensure correct room temperature at all times.

31. To indent and receive supplies from stores.

32. To maintain machine log detailing the downtime period of the MRI machine.

33. To carry out any other job assigned by the departmental radiologist.
