Position: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: GCC / MENA (with regional market ownership)

Primary Office Location: Qatar and Oman

Reporting to: Board of Directors

Role Purpose

The CTO will be the architect, operator, and evangelist of Artistic Business Solution’s technology vision. This role owns technology strategy, product architecture, innovation execution, and market coverage, with a strong mandate to build, scale, and commercialize startup-grade digital solutions across AI, AR/VR, immersive media, and enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of taking startups from concept to scale, working closely with founders, clients, and partners to turn creative ideas into revenue-generating technology businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Product Leadership

• Define and execute ABS’s technology roadmap aligned with business growth and market expansion.
• Own platform architecture across AI, AR/VR, immersive content, and enterprise digital solutions.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and future-ready systems from MVP to enterprise deployment.
• Lead technology selection, build vs. buy decisions, and vendor/partner ecosystems.

Startup Execution & Scaling

• Build and launch startup-style MVPs, pilots, and proof-of-concepts rapidly.
• Scale products from early adoption to commercial maturity and regional deployment.
• Establish agile development, DevOps, and product iteration frameworks.
• Balance speed, quality, and cost efficiency in high-growth environments.

Market Coverage & Commercial Enablement

• Act as a technology ambassador for ABS across the market.
• Support sales and business development with technical storytelling, demos, and solution design.
• Translate customer needs into viable technical solutions that close deals.
• Collaborate with strategic partners, government entities, and enterprise clients.

Innovation & Artistic Technology Integration

• Bridge art, creativity, and technology into differentiated digital products.
• Drive innovation in immersive experiences, experiential tech, and creative platforms.
• Ensure ABS remains a market leader, not a technology follower.

Team & Culture Building

• Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performance engineering and product teams.
• Build a startup mindset: ownership, accountability, experimentation, and execution.
• Establish governance, documentation, and best practices without slowing innovation.

Governance & Risk Management

• Oversee cybersecurity, data privacy, compliance, and IP protection.
• Manage technology budgets, forecasts, and ROI tracking.
• Report technology performance and innovation outcomes to leadership and board.

Required Experience & Profile

• 15+ years in technology leadership, with direct CTO or Head of Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated success in startup environments (founder, early employee, or scale-up leader).
• Proven ability to take products from idea → MVP → market → scale.
• Strong background in AI, AR/VR, immersive technologies, or advanced digital platforms.
• Experience working across GCC / MENA markets is a strong advantage.
• Commercially savvy: understands revenue models, go-to-market strategy, and customer acquisition.
• Comfortable operating in creative, artistic, and innovation-driven environments.
