Curriculum Designer

The Curriculum Designer utilizes program and course design principles and practices to provide essential project leadership and support for the execution of the College’s strategic curricular and assessment initiatives. This includes collaborating with faculty and administrators in the development and implementation of course, program, and institutional level assessment initiatives.

Manages and takes initiative on projects capitalizing on professional instructional and curricular design expertise to facilitate program, course, and institutional level curriculum design, including the development of appropriate assessments within established timelines.

Ensures alignment of curriculum and assessment products and activities with taxonomy, external and internal standards, policies and practices, including departmental, institutional, local, state and federal requirements.

Collaborates with faculty and administrators to identify innovative strategies to enhance student learning.

Works with key stakeholders in the development and operations of course, program, and institutional level assessments within established timelines in support of third party, licensure or credentials, and institutional accreditation standards.

Collaborates with internal and external sources to research, identify, or develop the appropriate resources and tools needed during design, development, and deployment of curricular and other projects engaging in Standards of Practice.

Continues to expand professional knowledge and shares expertise in emerging curriculum design, instructional and assessment strategies, and learning theory, with teammates, administrators, faculty, and staff in support of continuous quality improvement.
