Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Curriculum Developer for our English Language and Communication Skills department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and creating effective, engaging, and high-quality academic curriculum and content. You should have a deep understanding of the intricacies of the English language, and expertise in aligning content with industry standards such as the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You must be meticulous, adaptable, and proactive in creating content that facilitates effective learning outcomes. This role requires collaboration with multiple teams and a focus on the development of innovative learning resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum and Content Development: Develop comprehensive and engaging English language curricula and educational content, ensuring it aligns with CEFR and other industry standards as per the given requirements.
• Content Strategy: Plan and oversee the development of academic content that enhances language acquisition, from beginner to advanced proficiency levels.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevance of all content, with a particular focus on grammar, contextual functionality, and clarity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the HOD and other stakeholders to align educational materials with departmental goals.
• Adaptability to Pedagogy: Stay updated with emerging teaching methodologies and adapt content to meet modern pedagogical needs.
• Assessment Design: Contribute to designing assessments that effectively evaluate language skills, ensuring alignment with the established learning objectives.
• Training and Development: Mentor junior curriculum developers and offer regular feedback and guidance on best practices and content creation techniques.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in academic content development, curriculum design, or related roles, specifically in the English language domain.
• Language Proficiency: A high level of language proficiency, with a minimum of C1 level in English (spoken and written).
• CEFR Alignment: Experience in developing language content that adheres to CEFR standards and other industry benchmarks.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and the contextual functionality of the language.
• Pedagogical Knowledge: Strong understanding of different teaching methodologies and the ability to create content that supports diverse learning styles.
• Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Innovation and Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new teaching trends and methods in a dynamic educational environment.
• Logical & Analytical Thinking: Ability to structure content logically and coherently, ensuring that learning outcomes are clearly defined and achievable.
• Proactive Approach: Focused, meticulous, and driven to deliver high-quality content under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: PhD or Master’s degree in English, Linguistics, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in English language teaching, curriculum development, or content creation (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL).
• Experience with eLearning: Familiarity with eLearning tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or instructional design tools is a plus.

Working Days: 5 days a week

Work Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
