Vogel is looking for a dedicated Custodial Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our facilities remain in top condition, supporting our mission by providing a safe and clean space for all staff and visitors. This is a full-time, hourly, nonexempt, on-site position with a salary range of $15.00 - $18.00 per hour. The working hours for this evening role are 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Please note that this position may require assistance at our other locations as needed - Vogel Main, Vogel North and Vogel Redbird.

Our mission focuses on serving young children from homeless and domestic abuse shelters, offering a nurturing environment for growth and development. We support both children and their parents through a two-generation approach, providing resources and education that help families move toward a brighter future.
What You’ll Do
- Cleaning & Sanitizing: You will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning tasks, including vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets, dusting and mopping floors, and cleaning and sanitizing surfaces like furniture, fixtures, and display cases. You'll also clean and sanitize restrooms and kitchens
- Maintenance & Supplies: You'll be in charge of removing trash and recycling, replacing liners, and refilling restroom supplies. You will also maintain the janitor closet and handle various equipment such as high-speed buffers, wet vacuums, and carpet extractors.
- Safety & Security: A key part of your role is to ensure the facility is secure. This includes closing doors and windows, turning on night lights, and activating the alarm system at the end of the day.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role (Skills)
- Detail-Oriented & Conscientious: You have a keen eye for detail and can meticulously follow written and verbal instructions to ensure tasks are completed correctly.
- Teamwork & Reliability: The ability to work cooperatively with others is important. You should also be willing to work occasional overtime, flexible hours, and adapt to schedule changes.
- Physical Stamina: You must possess good physical dexterity and be able to perform manual tasks, including strenuous walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You should also be comfortable working alone and on ladders.
- Driver’s License: You must possess a valid Class C driver's license
