- Handle customs clearance for air import shipments in compliance with local customs laws and regulations
- Prepare, review, and submit customs documentation including GD/BOE, invoices, packing lists, AWB, COO, permits, and licenses
- Classify goods accurately using HS codes and calculate applicable duties, taxes, and other charges
- Liaise with Customs authorities, airlines, terminal operators, and clearing systems for smooth clearance and cargo release
- Track shipment status and ensure timely delivery to avoid demurrage or storage charges
- Resolve customs queries, examinations, valuation issues, and discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, and finance teams regarding shipment status and billing
- Stay updated with changes in customs regulations, tariff updates, and trade compliance rules
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in customs clearance, specifically in air import operations
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, HS classification, valuation, and duty structure
- Hands-on experience with customs clearing systems and documentation processes
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
