Custom Clearing Agent

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists) through PSW and in hard copy for smooth clearance
• Accurately calculate import duties and taxes in compliance with customs regulations
• Serve as the main liaison between the company/importers and customs authorities
• Handle and resolve issues such as delays, documentation discrepancies, and inspection-related queries
• Correctly classify cargo under the appropriate tariff codes to determine duties and taxes
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities to ensure timely clearance
• Manage the final delivery of cleared goods to the end-user with all required documentation
• Assist the Sales Manager in preparing documents, maintaining shipment records, managing inventory, and creating invoices and delivery challans

Requirement:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (Commerce or related field preferred)
• Must hold a valid Custom Agent Course / Custom House Agent (CHA) certification
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Custom Clearance Agent in a reputable firm
• Proficient in computer operations and Pakistan Single Window (PSW) system
