Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Officer / Tax Consultant to manage taxation and customs-related matters for our import/export operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local and international tax laws, prepare and review tax documentation, and provide expert advice on customs duties, regulatory policies, and financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file tax returns in compliance with relevant laws and deadlines.
• Manage customs clearance processes, including import/export documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international tax regulations.
• Advise management on tax planning, rebates, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Liaise with tax authorities, customs officials, and external auditors.
• Keep updated with changing taxation policies, customs regulations, and trade laws.
• Maintain accurate tax and customs records for audits and reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, BBA or related field (Master’s or certification like ACCA, CA, CPA, is a plus).
• Proven experience in taxation and customs compliance (import/export industry preferred).
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, customs regulations, and trade policies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and tax software/tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
