We’re looking for a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented Customer Experience & Merchandising Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves connecting with customers while curating a world-class online shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Interaction & Support

• Serve as a Brand Advocate: Represent the company positively in all customer interactions, embodying brand values and mission with front-of-house responsibilities as a key point of brand engagement.
• Respond to Inquiries: Address customer questions, requests, and feedback promptly and professionally through various channels (phone, email, chat, social media, in-person).
• Resolve Complaints & Issues: Investigate and resolve customer problems with empathy, aiming for effective and satisfactory solutions.
• Provide Product Knowledge: Offer accurate and comprehensive information about products across a range of categories, with an emphasis on hair color and beauty.
• Manage Customer Communication: Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across all touchpoints.
• Handle Transactions: Process sales accurately and efficiently using systems, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Receive and Review Orders: Obtain and carefully review incoming pick-up orders to ensure accuracy.

Merchandising & Growth

• Assist in Product Merchandising: Help curate and organize online product listings, ensuring accurate descriptions, appealing imagery, and optimized categorization.
• Coordinate with Buying & Marketing Teams: Support new product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns that align with customer insights and market trends.
• Visual & Digital Merchandising: Partner on creative product displays (digital and in-store) that reflect brand identity and drive conversion.
• Analyze Trends: Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
• Create Engaging Content: Contribute to social media and marketing efforts with authentic product recommendations and visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a genuine passion for hair color, hair care, beauty, and beyond.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

Bonus Points For

• Knowledge of hair/beauty space and relevant products.
• Prior cosmetology experience.
• Familiarity with utilizing AI.
• Previous experience in marketing, sales, or customer service.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time: 32+ hours per week (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday)
• Location: On-site at Sleekshop HQ, Tustin, CA
• Compensation: Starting at $19/hour with opportunities for growth
