Job Purpose:

The Customer Marketing / Trade Marketing Manager – will report to Head of Commercial Excellence and is responsible for driving both sales and margin for all products within Pharmacy Channels (Chain Pharmacies, General Pharmacies & E Pharmacies). The Customer Marketing Manager is accountable for the development and adaptation of category strategies for the management of different product categories within local conditions (in terms of both clients and categories). The Manager also supports the strategic management of Trade Marketing, aiming to provide the right format, pack, at the right price for each occasion, shopper mission and channel.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Marketing Manager / Trade Marketing (Pharmacy Channels)

As a strategic leader in the Pharmacy Channel, you will be responsible for driving commercial excellence through targeted trade marketing initiatives, shopper engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. Your role will span strategy, execution, and performance optimization across Chain Pharmacies, General Pharmacies, and E-Pharmacies.

Strategic & Channel Development

  • Design and execute trade channel strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Optimize distribution across pharmacy channels to maximize reach and efficiency
  • Support NRM workstreams with active mix management and trade investment pillars


Shopper Engagement & Visibility

  • Deploy best-in-class trade tools to enhance in-store visibility and shopper activation
  • Ensure implementation of Planograms (Activity Grid) in line with brand strategy
  • Guide sales teams with merchandising tools and execution standards


Budget & Investment Management

  • Own Gross-to-Net and trade investment budgets across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
  • Manage A&P promo line investments with robust tracking, forecasting, and execution
  • Lead pre- and post-promotion analysis to refine future promotional strategies


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align on execution
  • Coordinate with Sales Head to identify new channel penetration and distribution opportunities
  • Support D-Commerce team in achieving winning shelf presence both online and offline


Operational Excellence

  • Monitor and self-audit ComEx SOPs to ensure compliance and process integrity
  • Conduct extensive market visits to gather channel insights and shopper trends
  • Prepare and circulate quarterly Trade Promotion Calendars to all stakeholders


Joint Business Planning & Best Practices

  • Participate in Joint Business Planning for key accounts and budget allocation
  • Deploy budgets effectively for shelf rentals, displays, multibuys, and R&A
  • Collaborate with Area Teams to share best practices and represent Pakistan’s Pharmacy Channel


Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Communications, or equivalent, Masters degree in management is preferr
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a reputed FMCG company in Trade Marketing or Brand Management
  • Effective communication skills and command of the English language
  • Strong analytical and good presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of trade marketing and brand plans
  • Good grasp of distribution and logistics management
  • Management of budgets and understanding of financial and legal regulations
  • Hands on exposure to dealing with Trade Channels
  • Management of agencies and suppliers
  • Deep understanding of the P&L, retail math, analytics, financial/strategic modelling, forecasting, etc
  • Problem solving, possess solid judgment, and decision-making ability, and can deal with ambiguity.
