customer service agent with graphic design expertise

InstantCard is an outsourced ID card printing service. Companies come to us for a done-for-you solution: they order online, and our print shop prints and ships their badges every business day. This is a hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote) full time dual role: roughly half customer service, half design. On the design side, you'll build clean, professional card templates that make our customers' badges look great. You'll work primarily in our own bespoke design studio, but should be comfortable in tools like Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or GIMP. You will also assist in creation of marketing materials as needed. Marketing knowledge is a plus.

On the service side, you'll be the friendly voice and inbox our customers rely on to get set up and get unstuck.

We're a small team and we like it that way. We're looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely fun to work with — we care a lot about keeping our culture positive and healthy.

What you'll do

  • Design and refine customer card templates that look polished and on-brand
  • Onboard new customers and get them up and running on our service
  • Respond to and resolve customer support tickets
  • Answer customer phone calls
  • Help existing customers troubleshoot issues
  • Coordinate with the operations team across a range of day-to-day topics
  • Assist in marketing efforts with existing and potential customers.

What we're looking for

  • Strong graphic design skills — proficiency in Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or similar (we'll teach you our in-house studio)
  • Customer-focused, patient, and a clear communicator
  • Reliable, and able to work independently when needed
  • Quick to learn new web-based tools (you'll use several daily)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in both customer interactions and creative work.
  • Experience working with content management systems like WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of color management techniques and typography best practices for digital and print media.
  • A great teammate who's friendly and fun

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
