Customer Service Associate

Due to a recent promotion, we are currently seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Sturgeon Bay branch and help us continue delivering the exceptional service our community has come to expect.

About the Role

The Customer Service Associate plays a central role in creating a welcoming, reliable, and supportive experience for every customer who walks through our doors. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and professionalism. As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you will represent the heart of our mission and the values that guide our work every day. Main responsibilities include:

  • Processing a wide range of teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, wire transfers, and account maintenance with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily while supporting vault operations, ATM/ITM upkeep, imaging tasks, and research requests to ensure smooth branch operations.
  • Build strong customer relationships by greeting customers warmly, learning their needs, and delivering a welcoming, reliable, and supportive experience at every interaction.
  • Identify opportunities to connect customers with products and services that support their financial goals, referring them to the appropriate departments when deeper expertise is needed.
  • Assist with phone inquiries, direct customers to the right team members, and contribute to a positive, efficient, and community‑focused branch environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others, paired with the ability to communicate clearly and maintain professionalism in all interactions.

  • Comfort handling cash, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining a high level of accuracy while following established procedures and regulatory guidelines.

  • Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team‑oriented environment.

  • Previous customer service experience preferred; banking or cash‑handling experience is helpful but not required for candidates eager to learn and grow.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, stand for extended periods, perform occasional light lifting, and travel to other branches as needed for staffing support.
