About the Role

Postler & Jaeckle Corp., a well-established and trusted mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, piping, and sheet metal services, is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to support our busy and fast-paced Service Department.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong customer service and problem solving experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. As a Customer Service Coordinator, you’ll serve as the central point of contact between our customers, service technicians, and internal teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and triage incoming service calls and emails from commercial clients.
  • Accurately enter and track service requests in our work order system.
  • Schedule, dispatch, and coordinate service calls with field supervisors and customers.
  • Proactively follow up with customers regarding scheduled work, updates, or changes.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and complete service execution.
  • Support weekly payroll auditing for the service team.
  • Maintain organized records of communications, work orders, and customer interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of professional customer service experience in a fast-paced environment (experience in construction, trades, dispatching, or facilities management preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate issues, prioritize responses, and deliver practical solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; capable of managing difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or dispatching software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in service dispatch or facilities coordination.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical service terminology is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $40,000 – $45,000 annually (based on experience). Hourly rate equivalent: $19.64 – $24.03/hour
