Customer Service Dispatch Representative – Waste Removal & Recycling Services

Northern Waste is seeking an entry- to mid-level Customer Service Dispatch Representative to join our dispatch-focused customer support team. In this fast-paced and energetic role, you will serve as a vital link between customers, drivers, and operational teams—ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate dispatching, and clear communication.

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, highly organized individual who thrives in a dynamic operational environment. Northern Waste provides waste removal and recycling services across Anchorage, Eagle River, Chugiak, Birchwood, and Peters Creek.

This is a full-time, year-round, office position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between customer support and dispatch operations to ensure smooth communication and delivery of best‑in‑class service.
  • Learn and effectively navigate proprietary operational and dispatch software, including:

New customer setup

Payment processing

Service scheduling

Account updates

Work order audits

  • Coordinate and dispatch waste and recycling services using routing systems and GPS to optimize daily routes and schedules.
  • Maintain detailed dispatch and service logs to support analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide customer support via phone, email, online messaging platforms, and interactions to resolve account questions, disputes, and service inquiries.
  • Complete accurate work order audits within 24 business hours of service completion and apply applicable charges.
  • Develop a working knowledge of disposal guidelines, service requirements, and local regulations.
  • Communicate directly with the Dispatch Supervisor and drivers regarding work order needs, issues, and operational updates.
  • Assist with quality control efforts to support service accuracy and operational efficiency.

Additional Consideration

Transportation dispatch experience is highly valued.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
